Tecnologias de tratamento de água fortalecem cozinhas sociais do Ceará e ampliam combate à fome em três municípios do Estado

Soluções da SDW for All fortalecem o programa Ceará Sem Fome ao assegurar abastecimento seguro para a preparação de alimentos e ampliar o acesso à água tratada nas comunidades.

Três cozinhas comunitárias do programa Ceará Sem Fome, localizadas nos municípios de Maranguape, Pacatuba e Itaitinga, passaram a contar com soluções completas de acesso à água tratada após a instalação das tecnologias Aquatorre e Totem, desenvolvidas pela SDW for All.

A implantação das tecnologias representa um avanço importante para o funcionamento das unidades, que produzem diariamente refeições destinadas a famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade. Antes da instalação dos equipamentos, as cozinhas enfrentavam desafios relacionados ao abastecimento de água, com interrupções frequentes na rede pública ou dependência de fontes alternativas sem garantia de potabilidade.

Com as novas soluções, as unidades passam a contar com abastecimento contínuo, descentralizado e seguro de água tratada, condição essencial para a preparação dos alimentos e para o funcionamento regular das cozinhas solidárias.

A escolha das cozinhas beneficiadas foi resultado de um diagnóstico social, territorial e técnico conduzido pela SDW for All. O levantamento identificou os espaços com maior urgência em fortalecer o acesso à água segura, considerando fatores como interrupções no abastecimento, vulnerabilidade social e impacto na produção de refeições.

A partir dessa análise, foram instaladas as tecnologias Aquatorre e Totem, sistemas desenvolvidos para garantir tratamento e disponibilização de água potável em territórios com infraestrutura limitada.

A iniciativa integra o projeto Coalizão Águas, patrocinado pela Ambev, por meio da marca social AMA, e pela Diageo. O projeto é idealizado e gerido pela Quintessa, com execução técnica da SDW for All e parceria institucional do Instituto SOS Periferia, responsável pela gestão das cozinhas atendidas.

Desafio global da segurança hídrica

De acordo com a Organização Mundial da Saúde, o acesso inadequado à água e ao saneamento segue entre os principais fatores de risco para a saúde pública no mundo.

No Ceará, cerca de 60% da população ainda não possui acesso à rede de esgoto, e 9 em cada 10 municípios precisam ampliar a cobertura de saneamento. Segundo o Sistema Nacional de Informações sobre Saneamento Básico (SNIS), mais de 13 milhões de nordestinos não têm acesso à água potável.

Diante desse cenário, iniciativas que combinam tecnologia social, parcerias institucionais e políticas públicas tornam-se fundamentais para garantir acesso à água segura e fortalecer ações de combate à fome e à desigualdade social.
