Bruno Albuquerque é inocentado após acusação de plágio feita por crítico de cinema

Cinco anos depois de ser exposto nas redes sociais, criador do curso “Decifrando o Cinema” conquista vitória judicial e fala sobre os impactos emocionais e profissionais da acusação.

Em maio de 2020, o cineasta e educador cearense Bruno Albuquerque foi surpreendido por uma acusação pública de plágio feita pelo crítico de cinema Pablo Vilaça. Em postagens no Twitter, o crítico afirmou que o curso online criado por Bruno seria uma cópia de suas próprias formações. As acusações, repercutidas em grande escala, resultaram em linchamento virtual e marcaram profundamente a vida pessoal e profissional do jovem, então com pouco mais de 5 mil seguidores.

“Foi o período mais difícil da minha vida. Eu me senti acusado por todos os lados, como se minha carreira tivesse acabado antes mesmo de começar”, relembra Bruno. Na época, ele viu o número de alunos despencar pela metade em poucos dias, além de enfrentar problemas emocionais graves, chegando a precisar de acompanhamento psicológico. “Achei que nunca mais teria credibilidade. Em nosso meio, ser chamado de plagiador é quase uma sentença de morte”, completa.

Sem condições de responder na mesma proporção ao peso das redes sociais e matérias veiculadas de Pablo Vilaça, Bruno decidiu acionar a Justiça. O processo se arrastou por cinco anos, mas, no fim, resultou em sentença favorável ao educador cearense. A decisão judicial destacou que as acusações foram feitas de forma “ofensiva e depreciativa”, sem provas concretas de plágio.

Para o advogado de Bruno, Miquéias Martins (OAB/CE 19.792), o caso deixa lições importantes: “Ficou demonstrado de forma inequívoca que não houve plágio. A semelhança de conteúdos é natural em cursos da mesma área e não constitui violação de direitos autorais.”

Ele também alerta para os riscos do julgamento precipitado nas redes: “O que aconteceu foi um linchamento virtual, onde Bruno foi condenado publicamente sem chance de defesa. A internet não é terra sem lei, e acusações desse tipo podem gerar graves prejuízos à honra de qualquer pessoa.”

Hoje, com mais de um milhão de seguidores e milhões de visualizações mensais em seus conteúdos, Bruno Albuquerque busca reescrever sua história. Estreou no dia 19 de setembro o primeiro episódio da websérie “Eu Amo Barro Branco”, um projeto audiovisual que revela as memórias, tradições e transformações de um dos povoados mais tradicionais do litoral norte da Bahia. Localizado em Mata de São João, próximo à Imbassaí e Praia do Forte, o Barro Branco é apresentado em uma narrativa que une passado e presente, contada pelos próprios moradores.

Diretor do documentário, Sérgio Agnelo conta que a ideia surgiu de uma pergunta simples: “Por que a gente ama Barro Branco?”. “A partir dela, nasceu um movimento coletivo que transformou lembranças em episódios, dando espaço às vozes de quem sempre fez parte da história local”, ressalta o cineasta.

Sérgio Agnelo destaca que “jovens, educadores, moradores e comunicadores participam da produção, tornando cada episódio um retrato vivo do povoado”.
