Trânsito cada vez mais perigoso nas grandes cidades

O trânsito nas grandes cidades brasileiras tem se tornado cada vez mais perigoso, cenário que se agrava com a circulação crescente de bicicletas e patinetes elétricos em ruas e avenidas nem sempre preparadas para esse novo perfil de mobilidade. A convivência entre carros, motos, ciclistas e pedestres exige atenção redobrada, respeito às regras de trânsito e infraestrutura adequada, fatores que, quando falham, podem resultar em tragédias.

Em Fortaleza, um caso ocorrido no último sábado, 31 de janeiro, evidencia a gravidade da situação. A ciclista Geldiene Silva de Jesus morreu após ser atropelada na Avenida Washington Soares, nas proximidades do Centro das Tapioqueiras, no bairro Messejana. O acidente envolveu a suplente de deputada estadual Martinha Brandão (Cidadania).

Segundo o *Boletim de Ocorrência*, registrado pelo irmão da vítima, *Gilvan Silva*, Geldiene teria sido atingida enquanto atravessava a via na *faixa de pedestres*. Ele relatou ainda que o corpo da ciclista teria sido *arrastado por alguns metros* na pista.

A deputada confirmou a ocorrência e informou que conduzia o veículo de placas *RIL0H07* quando, segundo sua versão, a condutora de uma bicicleta elétrica, que trafegava pelo canteiro central e sem capacete, cruzou repentinamente a avenida. Martinha Brandão afirmou ainda que uma viatura da Guarda Municipal, que passava pelo local, acionou o Samu e os demais órgãos competentes. Ela também realizou o teste do bafômetro, cujo resultado foi negativo.

Independentemente das versões, o episódio reforça um alerta urgente: o trânsito de Fortaleza, assim como o de outras grandes cidades, exige prudência máxima de motoristas, ciclistas e usuários de veículos elétricos. Respeitar a sinalização, utilizar equipamentos de segurança, reduzir a velocidade e manter atenção constante pode ser a diferença entre a vida e a morte.
